The Caffè Greco in Roma via dei Condotti, founded in 1760, has been a meeting place for artists and writers since the nineteenth century and still hosts a collection of art which is among the richest in its kind. The Caffè has ceased its activity in 2025. The photograph was taken shortly before the closure.
