About

This is the photography blog by Domenico Albamonte – alias Luminis Imago. Born in Palermo (Sicily) in 1970 and living in Rome, I’m an amateur photographer who began practicing at the time of films and darkroom. Currently I use a Nikon mirrorless.
My preferred photographic genres are the creative reproduction of artworks (my current project exploring ancient Roman and Greek art) and the contemporary urban-social landscape. My personal poetic is an investigation into the flow of inner time, the symbols of metaphysical silences, the disquiet of civilization. My photos are mostly in black and white, which I believe to be the true quintessence of photography.
I share my work primarily on this blog and through social networks. Any constructive feedback and comment is welcome. Enjoy the galleries!
